Our educational publications include Coping with Sight Loss in Northern California. This resource guide is also available in large-print, audio-cassette, and Braille formats.
In order to carry out our mission to preserve sight, Prevent Blindness Northern California also provides educational brochures and information on common ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts. First Aid for Eye Emergency and How to Safely Jump Start Car Battery stickers are also available. Prevent Blindness staff and volunteers attend Health Fairs and other events to promote awareness that early detection of vision disorders can prevent a lifetime of visual impairment.
